It LIVES!

Phew that's a relief. You will be pleased to know I did not spend the proceeds on shoes, handbags and coke nor did I panic and invoke the contingency plan. :-)

Chim,

Yeah the game was a satisfying workmanlike performance, whereas the drinks beforehand was excellent from start to finish.

Pleasure to finally meet you and great to see your brother out and and having a little bit of pleasure, given what you have both endured recently.

Moncs,

Lovely to meet you for the first time tonight. You always come across on here as a class act and it was brilliant that you even exceeded my expectations. You made a great impression on my brother who we know has his demons and he asked especially for me to thank you for the open and kind words.

Weird really to know and converse with someone for literally years, meet up and feel like they are an old and much loved pal.

In retrospect we should have fucked the game off and stayed in the boozer! That's West Ham for you, a lovely day out marred by 90 minutes of football!

Let's do it again soon, and maybe bring that other great stalwart of WHO, CharlieF.

People like the pair of you are the glue that hold this teetering shithole together and long may it continue.

Mike, On the contrary, the words are perfect and encapsulates why we are happy and proud to administer it for you all.

We have kept up the GO fund me as it provides effective Escrow and Pete is worried about me having to publish all my details but if anyone does want all their donation going to the fund if they WHO Mail me I will mail back the details.

The fund lives on, Thanks Gav for showing us the way,

Re: WHO Fund - 2023 Update and changeover
Can I add my thanks and appreciation here?

For me, donating is such an easy and painless task - couple of mouse clicks and it's done, but to see the benefit our combined charity brings to those in need reminds me so much of the time when I was growing up and the attitude that was prevalent then, for my childhood at least, that you look after your own and, where you can, you help those in need, whoever they are.

Sometimes (my) English fails me and there are no words that quite fit the bill, apart from the fact, maybe, that, off the pitch, what this fund does best describes "The West Ham way" we all (I) grew up with.

Re: WHO Fund - 2023 Update and changeover of funds
Afternoon folks just to let you know the funds have been transferred into the trusted and capable hands of MPI.
I have decided to pass on the management of funds to MPI to make sure if anything happens to me at least somebody has access. I will still be working with Darren ordering flowers etc etc.
With your generosity we have been able to help so many people, make donations and through our funeral tributes, show that as a group of West Ham fans we really do show our best side. I am not aware of any other site that does this, so you should all be very proud of yourselves

The current balance is £1699.92 with £650 outstanding to one of our WHOer's who is hoping to pay this off soon, meaning we have a total of £2349.92 when this is paid.

The last bank statement is attached showing current balance and last payment made on the 4th Sept 2023:- £80, for the flowers we sent recently and so the total balance of £1699.92 has now been transferred to MPI who will be setting up an account. With regards to Gofundme we are still pondering as to the best way forward
If you have any questions please let me or MPI know
.

Re: WHO Fund - 2023 Update
Thank you Swiss and Madeeasy

As you say the flowers are one of our more poignant uses but there is also a lot of pride in the fact that WHO, for all its Tomfuckery respects and remembers our own.

Thanks again

So sad losing so many good who'ers, suppose with life comes death but feels like family about people I didn't know.

Chipped in a little to help keep the fund topped up.

Re: WHO Fund
That brings a tear to my eye.
It's very stupid, but I miss Ted most saying Thanks on Alans newspaper thread.

charleyfarley 11:55 Fri May 19
Re: WHO Fund
I got an email from Andrew - Ted's son and he says

"Just wanted to say thanks for the flowers, we loved them, a fitting tribute from WHO and 2 of our households wanted to put it outside of their respected houses."

Andrew also mentioned about the British Liver association and after discussing with MPI we agreed on your behalf we woiuld make a £100 donation to the British Liver Asociation a lot of people contributed directly because of Ted's passing so the money roughly divides up a third for flowers, a third towards The Liver Association and the final third to remain the fund.
